World Leading RFID Development
Patented Self-Service Linen Hubs
Ray, together with his son Isaac, pioneered the development of a world-first self-serve Linen Hub system, a groundbreaking solution that has now been successfully rolled out across Australia. This innovative technology transformed the way linen is distributed, accessed, and managed, delivering unprecedented levels of efficiency and accountability for both laundries and their customers.
The creation of the Linen Hubs, combined with the intricate processes implemented within the laundry to supply, track, and monitor 100% of linen inventory, represented a significant technical and operational challenge. Every aspect—from RFID integration and software development to workflow redesign—required meticulous planning, testing, and refinement.
While the journey to mastery was complex and demanding, the result was a scalable solution that unlocked limitless opportunities for improving service delivery, reducing losses, and empowering customers with greater control over their linen usage. Today, the Linen Hub system stands as a testament to Ray and Isaac’s commitment to innovation and their ability to reimagine what’s possible in the commercial laundry industry.
RFID processes.
Ray understood that the long-term success of the hire laundry industry relied on tracking its linen assets accurately. In 2010, Ray commenced his journey to have a laundry delivering and tracking linen to customers and supplying reliable data that promoted smarter business decisions.
On mastering the processes required, the business was able to reliably track all chipped linen through the Melbourne plant, which was processing over 800 tons per week.
Some of the key outcomes achieved.
Accurate shipping to customers
Accurate soiled in return counts.
Track discards, Track rewash reasons
Customer aged stock reporting
Removing non-chipped linen.
Removing stray reads
Implemented “Managed Linen Service” (soiled returns create new customer order)
